Patient summary
Quetiapine film-coated tablets from 25mg to 300mg, used in the management of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depression. A dibenzothiazepine.
Mechanism of action
Quetiapine acts as an antagonist at multiple brain neurotransmitter receptors, including serotonin and dopamine receptors, which helps stabilize mood and neurological function.
Seroquel is the primary brand name for quetiapine, a medication used to manage Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. The same active ingredient is also sold as Atrolak and Biquelle. Tablets are available in strengths of 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300mg.
Buying Seroquel online
Providing consistent access to medication is often a challenge for expats and those living far from a well-stocked pharmacy. Generic quetiapine, much of it made in India, offers a more affordable alternative to the original brand. As with all maintenance medication, quetiapine is best used under a doctor’s care.
Is the Seroquel on SGMeds a generic?
Yes. SGMeds ships a generic with the same active ingredient (quetiapine) at the strength you choose, not the original Seroquel made by AstraZeneca. We use the brand name so you can find the medicine, and the generic's manufacturer varies with stock.
What is Seroquel for?

How is Seroquel priced?
