Travoprost
Travoprost eye drops increase fluid drainage from the eye to lower pressure in glaucoma or ocular hypertension. They control pressure but do not restore sight already lost.

How it works
Travoprost is converted in the eye to an active prostaglandin analogue that increases aqueous-fluid outflow and lowers intraocular pressure.
Important safety checks
Eye inflammation, previous eye surgery, macular problems, pregnancy and other eye drops require review. Remove contact lenses as directed, avoid touching the bottle tip and use the prescribed eye only. Regular pressure and optic-nerve checks remain necessary.
When to seek urgent care
Seek urgent eye care for sudden or rapidly worsening vision, severe eye pain, marked redness with light sensitivity, new flashing lights or a curtain-like shadow, trauma or chemical exposure.
