Mechanism of action
Anaprox inhibits the cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate pain, inflammation, and fever.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy: Avoid, especially in the third trimester. Breastfeeding: Not recommended.
Anaprox contains Naproxen, a common treatment for Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis. The same active ingredient is also sold as Naprosyn, Ecxen and Stirlescent, supplied as a tablet in a 500mg strength. Roche manufactures this version, widely recognised for its consistency during physical symptom management.
Buying Anaprox online
Generic Naproxen, much of it made in India, is far more affordable than the original brand, providing an accessible choice for expats and people living across the region.
What you will receive
Anaprox is the originator brand name, made by Roche. We use it here to identify the medicine only; we are not affiliated with Roche and do not ship the original Anaprox.
- You receive a generic equivalent: the same active ingredient (Naproxen) at the same dose, mostly recognised Indian branded generics from vetted manufacturers.
- The exact brand supplied depends on what is in stock at the dispatching warehouse.
- A regulated generic matches the original ingredient for ingredient by legal standard.
